Same old place

Allen

"You can leave here for four days in space, but when you return it's the same old place." -Barry McGuire

This comes from an old song lyric from the 60's. That's before my time, but I love the multiple meanings in there. It starts with the wonders of space travel. Beyond that, there's the struggle of Man's ability to achieve great heights (like space travel to the moon) while not being able to solve some of our earth bound struggles like poverty, racism, war, etc. Going even deeper is the insight that all of our external struggles in life have their genesis within ourselves...within our minds. That's where the strife & struggle takes root. What's taken root in your mind? Can you spot the weeds? Even a beautiful garden needs love & pruning...
